Super close to the beach (a minutes walk away), has sufficient parking provided you arrive early, we didn't have trouble finding parking. Rooms (4 person dorm) were a bit humid, we had to leave the back door open for a bit of air. The beds were comfy and the room was clean as well. The staff were super friendly and gave us a good heads up before the stay. It has a bunch of restaurants and bars nearby and also a supermarket. If you're a bag packer this is a good option. Also the building is a heritage building and overall it was a good stay 👍.
This hostel is next to a bus station and a 5 min walk to the main beach Noosa Head/ the national park. Rooms are basic, kitchen and common area are alright. 4 bed dorm had 3 lockers? Wifi was okay. Staff was nice. They offer free activities everyday.
so good! perfect location, everything is clean, i love that there are so many places to chill in to! i slept in the 16-bed dorm and it was WONDERFUL!! sleeping in the Rainforest feels incredibly calm, and healing 🌱 i recommend it to anyone going to Noosa!! …
I have stayed here twice now. The first time was 8 years ago and the second time is now.
Unfortunately not a lot has changed.
It is a beautiful hostel with great (though dated) common rooms and nice places to sit outside. also very close to the beach!
BUT
The rooms (4 share) are absolutely tiny and do not have air-conditioning. The combination of 4 people sweating and heating up the little air that's in the rooms makes for very uncomfortable, warm and humid nights.
Toilets are fine and clean, showers are also tiny and just ver very old...
The kitchen has everything you need. It's just a little small for all guests. But that's very manageable by not cooking when everyone else is.
Overall:
This place needs a makeover. Aircon or at leat some proper ventilation and a renovation of the showers.
Wouldn't stay here for too long as it's hard to get a good night's sleep.
I stayed at the hostel about 2 weeks ago and found it very homely. I was lucky to have a 4-bed dorm with great roommates. Overall, I had a lovely time there. The only downside was that it's on a hill. But my biggest issue was when I washed my clothes. I put them in the dryer and ended up with bleach stains. I know I didn't use bleach, so someone must have put it in there. I talked to the reception about it, but they didn't do anything. The washroom facilities were outdated, and half of the machines didn't work. It's a decent hostel, but my advice is to avoid washing your clothes there. It's better to find another place to do laundry. Even though it's not something you'd expect to need to do as a backpacker, hostels should provide better laundry facilities. I won't be returning to this hostel since I have to replace my clothes, and I can't afford to do that without an income. I've seen others receive compensation for less, so I'm disappointed. I wouldn't want this to happen to someone else either.
Absolutely horrid experience here. The rainforest room has no aircon which in the heat of summer just makes it turn into a sauna. The lack of plug sockets was an issue and if you’re stuck on the top bunk the small little fans make …
Nice hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. All the facillities are clean, the hostel has loads of space to relax and just hang out.
It is located in close proximity to the beach, so it‘s perfect if you want to surf or swim.
Overall, this accommodation is in line with what you would expect from a backpackers in Aus. However, in terms of what you would expect for $183 a night (what I paid) it was a bit below. I booked the private room with shared bathroom- …
